Just recently, The World Street Food Congress summoned foodies, fanatics and travelers in Makasuntra, SM Megamall for an exciting forum about gastronomical explorations of the dishes in The Philippines and other places in the globe with the theme “ Re-Image Possibilities”.
KF Seetoh, the founder of the WFSC and a well known personality visited places in the Philippines and tried dishes from different regions of the archipelago. He explained that this country has a great potential in going global and being known for its distinct twists on flavours, texture and presentation. He featured Davao City, Bicol, Pampanga, Iloilo, Ilocos and Bacolod.
Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, one of this year’s dialogue speaker will provide the latest update on the highly anticipated Bourdain Market in New York. WSFC and Makansutra founder KF Seetoh has been tapped as the advisor and consultant for Bourdain Market.
Chef Sau Del Rosario, A genuine pride of the Philippines when it comes to food innovation is the country’s WSFC 2017 captain. HE was there for a quick talk about the future of street food twists and a little back ground on how he was able to make it as the captain.
Demo on how to create a fine, easy DIY street food was also showcased by a hot hot hot chef. I forgot to get his name but he’s yummy, oh his dish I mean, also. Lol.
After the discussion and open forum, the dishes were unfolded to all those who attended but unfortunately due to time constriction, I had to leave early and just enjoyed taking pictures of the banquet. I can’t wait to visit the actual food extravaganza food as it will showcase dishes to places I wanted to go to and try their own local and native food.
