Ariella Arida made us proud when she became a runner up in Miss Universe. Nonito Donaire made us proud because he won his boxing fight. But it was also the same time our country, The Philippines faced the most massive typhoon Yolanda just right after a 7.5 magnitude Earthquake in Bohol.

I’m just a small time blogger and there’s nothing more I do but donate and pray but I guess I can use my blog site to start a little something that can somehow, show my compassion for the victims, survivors and volunteers as we all recover from this challenge.

I would like to ask if you can join me in changing our social media photos; facebook; twitter; instagram etc, to a photo of a lit candle. To enlighten the souls of the departed and to give courage for every single person who are affected. Let’s  also say a small prayer as we all hope that these light can unify not just the Philippines but the whole world.

“Father Almighty, we seek forgiveness for any of our trespasses, for any acts or thoughts that may not be pleasing. We thank you Oh Lord for keeping us safe and say this small prayer for our brothers and sisters who were inflicted by the recent nature’s act. We plead Your merciful heart to give them courage to surpass these trials and to heal all wounds of our mortality and the pains in our hearts. May this candle bring them light and show them the way to your kingdom with all Your angels. With all our hearts, we pray, Amen.”

Please help me share this campaign and may our social media influence be used in making a change.

Thank you
